CHILDHOOD & INTERGENERATIONAL HISTORY
Exploring how care, kinship and belonging shaped childhood across generations.
Why Childhood?
Every child leaves a legacy.
Childhood is more than a stage of life. It is shaped by family, place, relationships, care and circumstance, and its influence can travel across generations.
My research explores the history of childhood and family life, particularly the relationships between children and older generations, the ways memories and traditions are transmitted, and how genealogy can help us recover lives that are often difficult to hear within traditional historical records.
